Gina Matthiesen is the Managing Attorney – Operations for a large portfolio of properties with Verros Berkshire, PC. She is responsible for both representing the firm’s clients in pursuing assessment appeals with the County Assessors, County Boards of Review, and PTAB, and also for making sure that the workflow moves forward efficiently and effectively to best serve the firm’s clients.

She is responsible for both representing the firm’s clients in pursuing assessment appeals with the County Assessors, County Boards of Review, and PTAB, and also for making sure that the workflow moves forward efficiently and effectively to best serve the firm’s clients.

Gina is a seasoned and experienced attorney with expertise in department/management leadership, negotiations, and regulatory compliance. Her legal background includes extensive hands-on experience with property tax, real estate and property law, title clearance, title insurance, civil litigation, foreclosures, evictions, mechanics liens, and bankruptcy. She has represented clients in the Circuit Courts of many counties in Illinois, the Illinois Supreme Court, the Northern District of Illinois, and Bankruptcy Court.

Gina received her JD from the Chicago Kent College of Law in 2005. While in law school, she served as Co-Editor of “The Commentator”, the law school’s newspaper, and Treasurer for the Kent Justice Foundation, which raises funds for legal internships for non-profit agencies. Gina also served as a law clerk in both the Office of the Attorney General and the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the State of Illinois.

Gina Matthiesen is admitted to practice in both the State of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois.
